The Hermit

The Hermit

By Karen Gill

The Hermit reminds me of the coming winter, going into hibernation gathering thoughts, hopes and dreams; ready for the first glimpse of spring.  A completion of a cycle, of renewal, rest, and regeneration.  The Hermit brings hope to us all, the wise old man who’s aged through years of contemplation and journeying through life.

The message The Hermit is telling us is, go within during the darker months and rely on our inner light.  Hold onto our ideals and slow down because hibernation requires inner change.  Meditation is a great start, requiring us to check our breathing and slow our responses, gaining a better understanding and perspective of who we are and where were going.

The darker months can be a time to take stock of our shadow side, understanding it’s presence in our lives, and how to transmute the scrappy edges.  A time to stand alone in the beingness of our own light, walking our own path away from the daily energy exchange that continually pulls at us, trying to take us away from our true north.  Connecting to the Divine and bringing us back to ourselves. seeking the wisdom that feeds our soul for our own evolution.
